They ALL have to be both built & bought, and sometimes bought again - whether through maintenance/repairs/upkeep, modifications/resto, resales &/or life's challenges! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Now some of you will understand why running this Contest is a Pain in the Ass. I'm not an Admin, so I can't delete Posts that I would not want in the Thread - I can only make suggestions! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

If you don't like a car - keep it to your Fuchin self & just Vote

BTW: if somebody wants to volunteer to take this over, let me know.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) That's really the crux of the matter. It's bad form to be criticizing any of the nominees.

IMHO This COTM is about the car, not about the person who recently bought it, or built it.

The poll is simply which car you like the best. Each person has their own opinions.

If this was really a "polularity contest" then I think Series9 would be in the lead.... Who's in the lead? A nice factory 6.

Goddamnit, who said the "C" word.
I'm way from concours. That's a whole other disea$e. All my cars are drivers.

I agree at all levels...that's why I'm here...
I guess I just have a real myoptic problem with...if you are going to display
or show a car, a least have the decency to prepare and clean the damn thing.

(Enough about the $*&^*^% six.)

My '74 is dusty, the bodywork is about 75% done, and on jackstands and has been
for the last four and a half years. My workbenches are full of completed sub-assemblies
and waiting for final installation.
I am not making a show car.
I am not making a purist stock example.
I am not making an echo of something else.
I am making a 914 the way I want it, with what I have, as with anyone on this site.
When I roll it in for paint, I will be all "shits and grins."
...hell, I'll be happy just to get it off the jack stands.

Here's to everyone's efforts, small or large (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
Now SHUT THE Front door, I'm busy. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/type.gif)

I voted for who I voted for 'cos not only is it a phenomenal car, it happens to be the 914 that got me really into them. The others are all excellent cars too, and it was - as usual - hard to make a choice. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif)

I would say many of the 914s that have been a COTM are actually from members that are not super active. Sounds like you're just whining Mike (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) Luv ya buddy but I'm callin like it is.

BTW, my car was in the running 6 times and never won. Every car that won was a very well deserved winner and generally someone not as active on the board. This contest is a great feature to have and if you all keep up your bitchin the people who take the time to run it may simply stop.

Seams a bit harsh. Everyone has their opinions but I believe every car has a story, that means some cars have a better story then others, just like some have better engines then others. It all makes the CAR.

So in my mind I like the story with 73-914kid's car. He is 18 years old and has been working on his car for the last three years. Probably 3 years of blood, sweat, tears and hard earned money into his 914. Ask me I know...I am the same age with a few teeners myself. I personally don't know him but with kids in our age to get from point A to point B with any project it requires great dedication.

Anyway not trying to stir anything just positively stating my opinion. Either way there is a bunch of great cars this COTM as with every COTM. Also thanks to carr914 for his work every other month putting this together.

Ok guys! Let's all take a deep breath. I doesn't matter why you voted for this car or that car, all of them show pride of ownership and I would love to own any of them. I think it's great that there are so many choices for us to choose from. I have voted, for who doesn't matter. Let's just enjoy these works of art!

I always voted for you Jon. One of the few Phoenix Red flared cars I've ever seen.

But I digress, I voted for Joe's car simply because it's Badass! It is an excellent representation of his execution and attention to detail.

The cars are always great in these and seem to offer a panoramic view of both what these cars are and what they can be.

You're doing good work, T.C. Thanks for doing it!

Holy crap, this is a tough one!

1. A super nice original six.
2. A really great AXer that looks fantastic, was built by a youngster with passion for these cars, and drives it daily. Ethan, really great to see you nominated!!!
3. A badass 3.6 with every detail meticulously built by a master.
4. A supremely clean build of the ultimate street sleeper.
5. An amazingly set up /4 knockout.

Definitely all winners!!! And each different enough that I wish I had clones of all of them.

I guess I had to boil it down to the car I would most want to own (and DRIVE!), Joe's RS beast.
