Rick,
Your car looks great. I love the sleek stock look and I be it's a blast when you open it up on the canyons.
Way to go (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Thanks for the compliments. There are so many beautiful (or soon to be beautiful) cars on this site, it's nice to get the acks.

The quad gauge is from Vintage USA, but it is pretty much a knock off of the GT version. They include the right sender for pressure, just tell them what u are running.

Hope to do the PCA AX practice just to help sort it out. Maybe will see some of you there

Do you have any special air diverters to get air from the horn grills to the cooler? Or is it just drawn through normally?

It's a really cool cooler setup and not as intrusive as other front cooler setups. I'll either do this or one in the rear under the trunk floor.

The cooler was installed 2 weeks ago with no special ducting to channel the air to the (=======) elongated oval opening cut into the nose of the car in front of the cooler. I am not a fluid dynamics or air flow specialist (nor do I play one on TV) but the thought was that the air will flow from an area of high pressure - the grill areas, to an area of lower pressure - the hole in the floor behind the air dam creating low pressure. So far it is working and maybe too well.

Before installing the cooler setup, the car would over heat on the interstate in 5 minutes - now it has a difficult time getting up to proper operating temp - which is probably more a function of the thermostat as well as: a mile of oil lines, 4 additional quarts of oil, and of course the cooler. The proof on the setup and whether ducts from the grills will need to be run to the opening in front of the cooler, or surgery will need to be performed on the air dam/spoiler will be a nice hot 80*+ day, which we won't have up here for months. The exception may be taking her to a DE day and seeing how she does at WOT for 20 mins.

Edit: The thought is to take it one step at a time and see if the current solution works. If not, use ducts. If ducts are not sufficient, either cut 4 round holes in the air dam in front of the cooler OR have an air scoop fabbed which will go in the more recessed area of the air dam which will divert the air up and into the gaping oval maw.

Very smart, doing stuff in steps makes perfect sense. Maybe an airdam like the one renegade sells would work great...if needed.

Needless to say, I'll be following your progress, as you are a year or so ahead of me.

Totally cool, once it gets set up I will definitely be there. More than ready to check out the rides.

Any one have an e-mail list set up for notifying the locals when and where the next gayla festivity will be held or is it just keep checking the wold's longest thread?

Not a bad looking product from Renegade... hmmmmmm

I can attest to the fact that Rick's car is indeed a very fine example of a 914-6 conversion. I congratulate Rick on the final result and give props to Bernie for his mad skills. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Actually Kelly they are 15 by 6 and 7. I refinished the 6s to more resemble the paint scheme of the 7s and now people thing they are 16s. Tires are 205/55/15 front and rear.

Thanks Scott for the compliments - you know the car all too well. I am sure that when yours is done it will not only meet but well exceed mine with your attention to detail.
