QUOTE (restore2seater @ Aug 23 2005, 11:44 AM)
michelko,

I've been going through Mike Ginter's "Rustoration" thread and yours from start to finish. Trying to get a little inspiration to begin work on my car.
Maybe I missed it but, towards the beginning of your project you bought "Engmans stiffening kit" and I see that you applied POR15 to the inside of your passenger compartment. Did you decide not to use the kit? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif)
Just curious.

I still will use the stiffening kit. But i will do the driver side first. Tillt hen i did the rust preparation on the passenger side. Have to grind down thedrillpoints later to bare metal to do a proper welding job.

Driver side isnĀ“t as bad as the passenger side (from what i can see now).

after the job you did...you don't really NEED to put it in till you are ready. Most people get that kit to prolong the inevitable.

i am very satisfied with the result of my first paint job.
Waiting for the complete drying of the new colour. I has a slight different shade then the old one.
Hope you enjoyed the pics.
