This colour is awsome in natural. But i think it is very sensitive to dirt.

Got the 5 series back on the road? That's going some. I really like the colour Adriatic blue -and yours is the first 914 I've seen with the reversing lights working. Also noticed you have swapped your wipers to park on the passenger side, well done.

Hi together,
last conversion on the car was changing the old style windows to new style windows and cranks.

No more rattling of the windows!!! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif)

Thanks for posting the pictures of this, what a great conversion idea. Need light doors? Want late regulators? Looks pretty straight forward even. Cool! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif)

Wow......

I just read this thread for the first time. I just got my 914 a short time ago and after reading this thread, I get a feeling that I have no idea what I've gotten myself into.

It's the same feeling I got when my Drill Sergeant started screaming in my face on my first day of Basic Training. (Only without the bad breath).

With people like you and the rest of 914World.com for guidance and inspiration, I am confident that I shall overcome the dreaded rust monster.

I have to start drinking a lot more beer (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/givemebeer.gif)

Here is a little update on my restoration thread.
Stripped down the underside of the car to the primer, some parts to bare metal.
It´s just amazing how solid this is!!

I think i strip all to bare metal and the using metal ready and por 15.
Not sure how the por15 will stuck to the old primer??

The first two pic´s shows the bottom
Third pic shows the long before restauration.

Unbelievable it the same car!!
