I want one. I have my original somewhere, but I can't find it. I also need the support bracket. Or at least a picture of a real part so I can fab one up. Mine is missing.

Wow. You said guess, and that is what is was. I knew it was not from a four, and that was the only thing I could think of that a six had that a four didn't

At this rate, there will soon be more 914/6's on the road than the factory ever built. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving-girl.gif)

This might be a dumb question, but what did this hand throttle do on a six? Was this the crew control switch? John (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Poor-man's cruise control (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

It's so you can keep the idle up until the car warms up. I wish I had one on my 914/4 when it had carbs...I may get one for the 6 conversion if I go carbs....actually I'd like one for my 356 too, idle is low when cold and high when warm.

Wonderful addition to your line!

I would love to get one for my conversion as it is helpful when getting the beast to run when cold. Either that or an automatic throttle blipping device to keep it running until it warms up!!!!!!

BTW, they do work pretty well as a poor man's cruise control.

Never would have occurred to me. So of course now I'll have to give it a try... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Those look awesome Mark. Glad mine works, but good to know there's a source if something happens - or if I need to replace the bracket or something.
