I can meet there Saturday morning.

As an alternative we could meet at Los Gatos Town Plaza Park. (about 5 miles farther down 17)

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Los+Gatos+To...mp;t=h&z=18

It is right at the base of the Santa Cruz mountains, and there is an on-ramp a couple hundred yards away. (coffee shops just across the street)

Either way. (I will not be going if there is rain as well)

Someone suggested to take 17 to summit rd to soquel that spits out onto hwy1. Beautiful drive.

I'll be able to meet you and jeff wherever you guys decide. Just be sure to Pm me the final plan when you guys figure it out!

I've ot a charging system issue, but should have it sorted by WCR...

I'm up for the Saturday morning meet up/caravan - campbell or los gatos is fine by me.

A acceptable-to-all route would be the aforementioned 17-Summit-Old San Jose-Soquel-Monterey.

We could also exit Bear Creek and do Old Santa Cruz to skip the east side of highway 17. Downside is that is posted 25 mph.. so.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Do we have a set time and location for the Meeting point?? Finally got the charging system sorted out, gas gauge working, and a new tach installed. I'm ready to go!

Negative ghost rider....no final decisions for Saturday crew yet. As far as location I am partial to LG, but that is because it is a little less backtracking for me.

As for leave time, 7:45am is a good goal.

Unless something major pops up I will be off Saturday and be able to make it to WCR (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) . I am up for a Saturday am meet up. I would rather do the Los Gatos place as I am don't want to be seen in a Home Depot parking lot. Jeff knows why... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Glad you're going to make it Michael, I'm bringing the "white" 914, you'll have to take it for a drive, it should be a little different from driving it on my trailer.
See you there.

You should take the one with no windshield and slicks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I am cool making the meet-up at the Town Plaza Park in LG. Sounds like people would prefer that. Lets do it, convoy leaves at 7:45 sharp. Straight down Hwy 17...no side trips...you can hit them coming back on your own if you want.

Have fun guys! We've scrapped our entire trip south as we have a new housemate moving in this weekend. We were hoping for the weekend before or after, but the new person seems like a great fit and this has to take precedence.

Enjoy the great weather, roads, cars, people... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Oh well...

I know! What's making it worse is that I'm subscribed to all the threads for this event. They're making me both happy and sad. I'm trying to live vicariously through you guys.

How about a RoadGlue Run sometime this summer!? I'd love to host a BBQ, or a drive and then going to one of our great brewpubs up here in Santa Rosa.

Cheers,

If anyone in the group caravanning down on Saturday is planning on the "Twisty Road Tour" that morning keep my cell number handy and let me know if you will be a little late and I will hold things up for you.

Thanks Ken. I am planning on the twisty road tour but will be cutting it close as we are leaving as a group from Los Gatos at 7:45. I will keep the group punctual and should be there by 9:14.

FYI if you are pulling a trailer you might want to avoid Hwy 17 and head down 101! It is also faster!
