Looks great!!!

We kept finding area's that needed work like this and it added time getting to paint but there's not one spot on my car that I worry about rust returning.

Looks like the front end is close to going back on after some media blasting. Thanks Scotty I appreciate the pictures and work.

There's something wrong with that vin-tag...it starts in 914... I didn't think anyone on this board had the resources to afford a real /6 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

So it turns out moving is a good thing every 23+ years or so...I found two pictures of my last Six:

As you can hopefully tell, it was Irish Green. It was essentially stock, almost. It had a 3.0 with CSI, front oil coolers behind the fog light grills, Koni shocks, F&R sway bars and deep sixes. I had that little lip front valance which I would not use now. Car ran terrific and I sold it to further my education- tuition costs. Miss that nice little car.

OK, you have to share that oil cooler install setup...also how the CIS fit/worked. Inquiring minds want to know...

Thanks everyone. The oil coolers were VW small oil coolers and one was mounted behind each fog light grill. All stainless steel hoses and AN connections. Turbo thermostat mounted on passenger side firewall. Kept the car nice and cool- never overheated. That system may have not been in at the time of these pictures as I can see the actual fog lights still installed in the car.

The 3.0 with CIS ran perfect and never skipped a beat. We had to shave the ribs on the air-boot down a bit and we removed the engine lid cross brace and stiffened it up and moved the latch. It worked perfectly and still utilized the stock cable and latch.

Irish Green is a beautiful color- no doubt.

It doesn't show well in the pics, but the pass rear 1/4 is the last major metal obstacle. It's pretty mangled up from it's prior damage, and has some lousy repairs around the taillight opening. Most likely I'll be replacing the whole panel with another from a parts car. Unless someone has a NOS one laying around getting in the way (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) That will be dealt with in a couple weeks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Well it is 2:00 AM and I am getting ready to leave to catch a flight to Virginia to meet Scotty and see my car after 2 years. I am looking forward to meeting and talking with Scotty and seeing all he has done. We will also be talking about the next hurdle, after the rear quarter, which will be the oil cooler system and how it is going to look. I am sure there will be some pictures.
