The Alien has landed. Well done! That Alien has to be one of the most traveled cars out there?? Does anyone keep track of those kind of things? I know Rick has won a plethora of major awards for distance traveled to events (not to mention for just having an awesome car). I'm sure he has them all prominently displayed in the middle of his formal living room. |

Rick, I doubt you burned your oil at 220F. The break down point of automotive engine oil seems to be in the range of 300-370 degrees (Centigrade). 300 degrees C = 572 degrees F. Unless it's time for an oil change, save yourself some time & money (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) Ferg just dropped off a filter for me. It's not an easy one to find so it was nice of him to locate it, pick it up and deliver it to me at Mike & Sharons house. We're looking forward to seeing you all! Suzie has safely arrived in Vegas. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif)
She spent the day drinking beer, doing shots and dancing on the bar. I think she has a good chance to win 'That Girl' this year. Attached image(s) |

We're meeting at Eric Shea's home, showing up at 10 am. Which is in Sandy, Ut just south of SLC. Maybe Eric will chime in here and give you some info. |

There was an "issue" in Philidelphia this morning but that should not have affected her flights. Hang in there! I heard from Sandy. Her flight was cancelled. She is trying to jump on a flight to Souix Falls then to Denver. This will get her here sometime around 3ish.. So we think were going to drive to Vail today if she ever arrives. 1 hour 45 mins to departure ... I'm gonna fry in the desert. Fortunately I have a bottle of AntiFreeze (Cassadores) with me.
Oh, if anyone has a spare clutch trunnion & two 11 mm nuts bring them along. I'm bringing spare cables in case someone needs one, but the trunnion gets lost on the road a lot of times when it breaks. Also have spare /4 & /6 throttle cables, spare /4 & /6 CIS fuel pumps & couple of lengths of 3/8" & 5/16" fuel hose. Spare 2.7L six and 2.0L four with transmission wouldn't fit in the trunk. |

Ron,
Here's a cheap air conditioner: Get a cheap styrofoam ice chest, poke a 2" hole at each end of in the lid. Install a section of 2" PVC pipe in one of the holes, down to about 2" above the bottom of the chest. Install a small 12 volt fan over the hole that has the PVC tube (blowing down into the chest). Fill the chest with ice (duh), and plug the fan into the cigarette lighter socket. Ambient air will sicked into the chest, under the ice, and come out the other hole as cooled air (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) Works just like a bong (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smoke.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) |
