Apparently Absinthe is making a comeback. There is a Frech brand called "La Fee Absinthe" claiming to be made the original way with the wormwood available for sale worldwide.

And a brand called "Hill's Absinth" available in Canada, UK and other countries but no the US. Hill's Absinth contains the psychoactive and essential ingredient, wormwood (artemisia ABSINTHIUM) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

from what i understand (i used to be into such things) they refine it so that the active amount of thujone (found in the wormwood) is only in trace amounts. so yes, it's made with wormwood, but no it is not going to get you high. you'll pass out from alcohol poisoning long before you'll see green fairies (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) sorry...

and stay away from ANYTHING homeade!

btw, gwen, did my hat ship yet? thx

I'm very fortunate to have a close friend who owns a small microbrewery about a mile from my house. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif)

Oh man... Where do I begin? Well, first you start with a really well stocked home bar. Then you get very creative. Tonight it's Woodford Reserve, tommorow...? I really don't drink all that much anymore. Burned myself out when I could still handle the consequences. Still enjoy a drink now and again. Tonight I have to be good so I can get up early and drive to San Jose (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) That reminds me... I gota new bottle of Single Malt last week for my birthday. I gotta go... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif)

Went shopping at Safeway last night for dinner stuff & wanted to get some wine for the Saturday night Birthday celebration taking place at my wifes parents. Most of them are really into their wines & always wanting to try new ones. That's when I saw this Shiraz....

Should, could, .... (might) be pretty good (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

For those of you beer types (like me) who go for the dark side every now and then may I suggest Blackened Voodoo. I believe it is a micor brew from NO LA. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif)
