The paint code for Aubergine on a 914 is 98 which is the custom color code. In other words, there isn't a 914 paint code for Aubergine. Looking on the Glasurit site shows Aubergine was available on 911s from 72-75 and shows the paint code as either 025 or G6. I don't know if that's a Porsche code, or what.

QUOTE(914forme @ Nov 1 2004, 01:27 AM) Never used them on a 914, I have used the for tow vehicles before thou, they are just okay in my book. Sorry to burst bubbles out there. They 911 bar will work for the Allien, but you need to swap out ot a 911 front end, these addco's might be worth a shot. BTW, they are sold in J.C. Whitney catalogs also. The idea of bolting something that is heavily loaded like a swaybar to the flimsy floor of the front trunk seems kinda disturbing to me... |

I was thinking the same thing......I have a stock bar stashed someplace. I may have to see if there's room under the tank. |

Well the bar attaches to only where the a-arm attaches, not to the trunk floor. This is assuming that it mounts like the 911 bar. Here is a pic of the 911 front suspension on my car before the install. The front end is closer to the house.

A bar is always mounted to the body somewhere, otherwise it would just be hanging there and do nothing
On the later 911 setup (see pics above) it is mounted to the tabs on the xmember Rick, I don't see why a stock bar wouldn't fit under your tank (other than you having put the fuel pump there). That's the way it was designed to fit |
