I used Jake's method as the basis for my video on valve geometry...and Jake graciously agreed to be interviewed. If you're taking this project on, I hope this is helpful...

Please don’t do THAT lol. Jake’s method, yes…but my execution of it is surely less precise (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif). Note that one of the rocker blocks was flipped when I shot the video. I corrected it when I did the geometry for real…

There's always going to be variants of small dimensions, problem is it becomes a game of 'a dog chasing it's tail', you take a little off of here ...and it affects way over there.
As with any part of an engine build, do your research and plan well, etc, but don't get bogged down overthinking it.

Exactly, overthinking can be problematic. Part of the OCD thing. This engine is stock with the exception of 96mm pistons/cylinders from AA and a 266 degree cam from Elgin. .382 intake lift and .368 exhaust lift.
I have 55cc combustion chambers and 52mm deck height. Earlier today I mocked up the rocker gear today and all looks good, the rockers align nicely at half lift.
