I'm thinking or purchasing this 1971 914 2.0. See link below. I would like some advise on what to look for for? I know about the basics, rust, oil leaks, interior, but just in general what do you think about this year? I love the looks. I've also would like to know what Porsche 6 cylinder would be a good swap without major modifications and why?

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Just kidding and welcome to the site! No *major* mods are needed. Just budget at least 2X what you pay for the actual car to get a good quality six in there. Check the "Garage" forum for threads outlining the costs. |

Press refresh after you load the page, and you should see the deleted version. You could also check the dealer web page if they have one.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Unless you've got great rust repair skills and or you enjoy self torture and you live in Cali you should run,I repeat RUN from rusty, crusty cars.Way too many nice ones in that state to punish yourself.Better to start with more money less rust type car.
