I still need to alter the run up rt 15 to Underdogs to include the stop at the covered bridge (for those that want the photo op).

I took my son on part of the auto tour at Gettysburg and we ended up spending nearly 2 hours just at Cemetary ridge and the PA monument. You can park along the way and get out to explore. Never got to my favorite part - little round top. I will admit that I started getting choked up as I tried to explain to my 5 year old about Picketts Charge. It's one thing to read about it. It's another to stand behind the stone wall and look. It was suicidal.

I highly encourage Erc and others who are interested to point out aspects of the field they want to see.

If you really want to experience going there, before you go, purchase an watch the DVD "GETTYSBURG" filmed at the actual Battle locations. When I visit Gettysburg and stand at Devils Den, Little Round Top, and road that now crosses the field that was Pickett's Charge, I can really visualize what it must have been like and where things happened. It's a movie (2 sided DVD) you'll want to watch more then once.

I could do the part beginning at the Hofbrauhaus. Coming from Hagerstown, MD, the museum is too early a start to the day.

I've potentially got jury duty to screw things up. I'm not sure that I can make Friday yet.
