QUOTE(MrsPnambic Posted on Nov 18 2004 @ 07:25 AM) I entered a beauty pageant and won my division on November 7th. I hold the title of Indiana's Ultimate Woman 2004-2005. I used to do pageants as a teen and decided I wanted to get involved again. Kinda cheesey huh? No way! Polar opposite of cheasy. R U NUTZ!?!?!?! Sorry Dan, gotta do it. I'd put up a pic of me with my "crown and sash" but I can't figure out how to put it in the post! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I think Dan is proud of me...otherwise I don't think he would let me do them, or at least tell anyone that I have (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I lend you my 68 Impalla convertable, but it's 1)a tad far away 2) I'd have to put the front clip back on 3) finnish putting the new 1/4 panels on 3) put the new interior in.
Just a thought...contact one of the other local car clubs if you can't get a teener to use...someone must have a shiney convertable that needs to streach it's legs for the day. |

The winner of Indiana's Ultimate woman deserves no less than an equally ultimate automobile for the parade. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)
Ooley supposedly has a Panoz Esparante convertible available. There is also that lovely Imola Red E46 M3 (although, IMHO, Laguna Seca Blue would be better), and a handful of other open-topped cars.... I'm still willing the lend my 914 to serve as your chariot. I'll be out of town for the weekend, but if you are interested, we can make some type of arrangement for drop off/pick up. |

Thank you thank you! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
I will have to see if Dan is going to call them and talk to them to get me a car, if not, would you mind us borrowing yours? I am going to get a sign made up to put on the car and I am even getting autograph cards made to hand out during and after the parade. |

I'm almost.....ALLLLLMOST ....afraid to take you up on your offer Geoff. I'm afraid that after driving your green beast, I won't be able to settle for the little 1.7 again.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I personally haven't come up with anything yet. (if you heard me on the phone you would think I was some sort of man) I don't think Dan has had time to call being that he is at work and all, but maybe tomorrow he can call and see if he can get me something. I need to turn in my entry by the 24th to be in the parade. It definately would be nice to be on a 914 so that at least hubby can enjoy the parade too, but it doesn't HAVE to be. I am not choosy, but it kinda looks like I am begging. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

HAAAAAAAAAAAA! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)
[At first I misread your post, and thought you were making a 'little 1.7' comment about my car (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) ] No worries, if you're interested in borrowing The Frog, just let me know. I'm still in shakedown mode with it though (only 500-600 miles on new engine and tranny) and it can be quite a handful, especially now that it is getting colder out. There is some work to be done on the jetting as it is damn near impossible to start and keep running if the air temp is below 50F....ya, I know, Weber 44s and no choke setup...the new shift linkage is taking me time to get used to as well. I've also recently learned I have a leaky heat exchanger (and probably a bad control valve too), so I'll disconnect the heater hoses so you don't get sleepy behind the wheel (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif) |

That was indeed a compliment and not a commentary on your current ailment. One I share if I may say so.

Well thank you both VERY much then! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I just napped and I do have to say I feel a little better. Throat is still sore and I probably still have my fever, but I feel a little better at the moment.
By the way, Thanks for the welcome! I am enjoying myself even though I don't know much about porsches. I am slowly learning. Dan will get me hooked somehow I know it! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |
