QUOTE(914 Ranch @ Mar 29 2020, 02:32 AM) *

Now that's what I'm talking about... Now you have put another smile on my face. I have no idea when I will be able to get back out to LA , you know Marty, I used to drool all over a sexy black teener with a horizontal fan. Then I find the same guy with a VW van with a 3.2 in it at Pomona. The headers on AR 14 I got from Marty in 05. Don't forget that he also built turbo kits for the 914's in the '70's. Now I believe that he and his son are building the cleanest, badass 914 in existence (IMHO).
I'm building a car out in left field, yes unique and quiet imaginative but my finish is mediocre.
Marty's products are AWESOME... I can't wait to see all the horses in this stable together ❤️.

Thank you Joe for the kind words (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
I am missing your 914 cook-outs, and that bitchin blue six (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)
Watch out for them gators !
Marty

As we are now with wheels + tires, today setting the total "Droop stop" limit of JRZ shock travel. We have 9" ram extension length on the Genesis air-jacks.

There goes another smile on my face... Marty, I am coming to the Black and White Show.
Maybe I can bring AR 14 out and do A/X with the PCA OCR at the same time or something else just as eventful... You have much more work to do than I do. Probably going to take me more than a year but you'll be done first.

I wonder if Marty knows how to build an exhaust system?

Feelin' the need to do some hand-punching on the paint-code plate with the number set today. While on an essential trip out of the house, hit my fave sugary spot in Inglewood "Randy's " ...thought this would give me the correct hammer control (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) Came out more like my first day as a Gastarbeiter on the assembly line (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) Well...it's going to hide in a little spot in a forward door jamb, so here it be ;Attached Image

Feeling a little "Pinned In" this week , so finalized the measurments for the secondary hood pins. These are only 7/16" dia pins (normally 1/2") and sourced from Pegasus

A little too much "Droop" in the rear JRZ shock assemblies, so a bit of time spent down at ERP suspension. We took 1.75" out of the equation, so this allows the air-jacks to operate at max, and the rear tires now clear the tarmac. Fronts were spot on--no changes needed.

JRZ rear suspension now corrected at "Full-droop" , allowing just enough tire clearance-to-lower lip of quarter panel for tire changing during air-jack activation

The open space just above the 4x4 and .375" alum bar, is the tire-to- ground gap, which allows for tire changing when the air-jacks activate at 9" ram stroke.

Header primaries 1.75" od x .125" ga. mandrel bending completed today. Precise assembly fixtures are the key in making the fitment to the Cayenne v8 engine 100% right on

After the primaries are completed, the secondary portion of our exhaust system including all of the turbo, wastegate, and exit piping will follow in various sizes; ranging up to 3" od . Everything x 2, (left + right sides) as this is a twin (biturbo) system
