Clutch bracket Options

To help take the slack/sharp bends out of the clutch cable, I made a bracket to mount to the side of the trans, and then mount the original bracket to that. I made a series of adjustment holes, so that I could pick the one that would leave it with the least amount of slack in the line.

I did have to place a 1" square tube under it to help level it off going to the clutch fork, but maybe should have a 1 1/2" under it to comes up a bit more. Anyway, it pushes much easier now. I used the threaded end off the old junk cable, and made a 1 1/2" coupler that goes in front of the fork and ties in to the end of the cable to compensate for the moving the pulley back further.

Might be over kill, but since it is about the same size pulley as the garage door pulley's and has ball bearings, and maybe would fit over it as well to roll easier?? The outside diameter is about 3/16" bigger, but could probably turn down some of the edges with a lathe since there is plenty of material on the lip?
