I did a search and it seems like there are at least a few 914's running around Maui but those threads are getting old.
Any new members around the island who might want to grab a meal April 3-9? I'll be in Lahaina most of the time but have a car to get around. Wouldn't mind seeing how the locals prevent their cars from rusting away (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

Yep, heading back for anniversary. Had a trip to Ireland planned but the friends we were to stay with got transferred back to the US last month so we had to cancel. Had a visit to the Porsche museum planned and everything....so Hawaii it is instead because the other option was to cancel my vacation and go into work and that wasn't happening:D

I was on Maui in 2009. Drove the Hana Highway to Hana Beach Park and had wished I had the 914 with the top off the whole time. Going to Oahu and Kauai in 6 weeks but still can't take the car along.

I went to Maui and Kauai for my honeymoon and spent a week on each island. We are not much for just laying around on the beach, and there is a ton of cool stuff to see and places to go explore.
We had this guidebook which we found to be excellent, you might see if you can get a copy before you go - http://www.hawaiirevealed.com/books-apps/maui-revealed The trip up to see the Haleakala Sunrise and the bike ride down was a great time. Road to Hana and Up Country, dinner at Mama's Fish House, and a ton of other great memeories come to mind. Have a great time |

We love Maui. Our timeshare is based at the Kaanapali Beach Club. I know you have a few days there, but if you ever get a chance to go to The Big Island you must check out the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Seeing the lava flow at night is just way too cool.
