1. The Type I's have a recess here shown where the boot mates up against the CV. The fit up isn't great. Should I RTV this side so the boot won't possibly sling grease? 2. Going without the paper gaskets as I have heard stories from others that they will loosen the bolts over time. Any suggestions on the RTV to use? 1) Our modified Type 1 CVs include an o-ring seal for that location. 2) Our modified Type 1 CVs have the exact same step cut as the oem CVs and we include new paper gaskets. They will not loosen up if installed and torqued correctly. No need for RTV if done the way we recommend. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) |

Got it....might relapse! Had I known Dr. Foley had the magic pills instead of the 2 month program.....I would have gone that way. Now I know. Looks like you almost have to go with the type I's now. |
