Well, the car won for the night... I'm tired, almost done, but it's been an ENTIRE day of 914 work.. so I'm exhausted.. but it's almost done.
Rome wasn't built in a day, but you can damn near assemble a 914 in 3... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i260.photobucket.com-9714-1379820599.1.jpg) |

Thanks for the kind words Everyone, I really appreciate it. This is proof that you can get a fairly nice paintjob for under $2k. by no means is this a show car paint job, and I fully appreciate and support professional shops that charge good money for awesome paint jobs, but for my needs, this worked out perfectly.

Thanks everyone, I'm really quite pleased with how it turned out, although I will admit that I'm heading back to Maaco tomorrow to have an "issue" touched up on the front trunk lid.. ie, it needs to be re-bodyworked.. when sanding a few dimples, they created a bunch of little 1 inch diameter flat spots, and then didnt sand down a previous paint bubble that created a big black 1 inch length void of paint..
To be honest, I know you get what you pay for, but considering how much effort they put into the entire car, the front trunk lid is a huge letdown.. |
