QUOTE(euro911 @ Sep 26 2013, 09:41 PM) *

I've had PM communications and spoke with at least one of the guys on the phone. They're local to me (hanger at Long Beach Airport), so I would visit in person if I were to purchase anything. They seem like OK guys.

Their prices do appear to be above typical market value seen on most 914 classified forums. Make an offer and see what they say/do (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

I made an offer for a part in the classifeds and yes the asking price was high, but I thought it a point of negotiations, but same answer, no.

I can find the part elsewhere so I will. Taking a creditcard, but not paypal is not really a problem, but why the 2 week wait? It seems to be a business, so I don't think you have any issues about getting your parts, basied on the feedback I've seen, but you may find a better deal.

They were very nice and we negotiated. At the end the price was fair.
He was flexible and even helped with shipping.

new account Credit Card processing makes the vendor wait two weeks until the monies clear into their account.

Its one of the reasons banks are losing more business.

Someone should show them the more modern online technologies that are much faster in clearing and the fees are lower.

Eric uses one of these companies, and it works from his Iphone,
He could shed some light on the fees and timing, but I recall its faster.

I remember this issue when I looked into doing a CC processing account with the bank and the rules are really not up to the times, and stupid.

Here we are,
The seller did not keep his end agreement to ship Friday, I sent him 3 PM's so far from Friday night for a tracking number, not even a reply.

I give him until 8pm est, then I will be calling my bank.

Very sorry to hear this. I decided based on mixed reports to hold off. Keep us informed as he is very active in classifieds.

you got the same experience I had when I bought a muffler. First he said mine was confused with another purchaser. it took at least 10 days more than it should have. I was getting nervous as well. In the end, I am pretty sure you will get what you ordered. The muffler I got had some holes in it, but fortunately there are on the bottom beside the exhaust pipe. It works, but I am keeping my Bursch as backup. The advice here is to look at the pics of the item and magnify them as best your computer can.

I understand it can be difficult to ship stuff as a business, it takes tiem and attention to detail. God only knows I've screwed the pooch a few times, but I try to improve and get better.
This operation looks like a parts stash a few guys pooled thier funds to buy and are unloading it at the highest return they can get.

If you need the part, get pleanty of good pictures, and a good description. If it's too much effort at the premium paid, maybe it's not worth it.

I ordered the 3 pieces of chrome trim for the aft of the roll bar from them. they debited my debit card TWICE. Upon calling him, he got it straighten out in a couple of days. Parts were shipped to me as agreed and they were fine. No complaints.
