That looks a lot like a VW bug late engine suround rubber...I thought the 914 was different?

I'll look today, engine is out and I have a bug rubber somewhere.

I had never seen this profile "flexed" up like this, the ones I made were more like a J as that's the profile I had seen. As Garvey I'd bet he'd know.
My thought was it's not the correct profile, but it might work.
It just looks like it would get in the way when installing. You already have to remove the injectors to squeeze the motor in with the other profile that comes down. It seems like the reduced clearance may make the fit tighter?
