And I think I have a lot to do... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif)
What can I say. Get to Vegas as soon as you can. I can't speak for anyone else, but I will wait. I would really like to be in Camarillo befor dark on Thursday, but I'm not leaving Vegas until you arrive. |

Rick, I think Bruce (gwn7) is arriving LAX on Friday and renting a car. Not that I would trust him with my wife, but (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

PM for ya Rick. If you get here on Tuesday night, I got a rack for ya. And it's ony 10-11 hours to Vegas from here. You might even get here the same time Rusty and Pam arrive on their way back to Kansas. I'm off work Tuesday and Wednesday next week also so you couldn't have timed that better. And I won't accept any form of "no" for an answer. |

I encourage all that are on the fence to go back and read the posts and view the photos from last year. There all together at one click of the mouse. I've overcome some huge obsticles again this year. (with the help of some dear friends, you know who you are) You can do it too. There are 24 hours in a day people. And it's only money, you'll make more.

Thanks Thom, I pm'ed Bruce. (gwn7) He's flying in on Friday at 4:00pm. Sandy is landing at 4:45. He should have his luggage and rental car by then. I'll have all her bags with me so no wait for her to get her bags off the plane. This is going to be great! |

I've started a separate topic to figure things out for lunch on 4/20 in Flagstaff. Please check it out and respond so I can make appropriate arrangements.

Well, Looks like I'm driving the Alien out this time. Oldest son was driving the Mother Ship tonight and the pinion gear somehow just broke all by it's self. Imagine that... 9000 miles on the odometer. Ya right........ So considering it's friday and I have to leave by sunday night or cancel, I guess I'm driving out.
Wish me luck. How long does it take to get AAA? I'm really depressed (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sad.gif) On a lighter note. I started the Alien up for the first time since last fall. It ran Great! |

Joe O'Brien and Liz (his passenger) left Flagstaff just after 1 p.m. headed for Las Vegas. We had a hurried, but nice lunch together. Joe is sweating making it to Las Vegas in time for getting the car into the shop.
There was some sort of mixup with the departure of the caravan from Albuquerque this morning so the Suburban with Scott Thacher's teener on the trailer were probably about an hour behind Joe & Liz. Scotts's Subaru/914 is still doing just fine, it's just on the trailer because there was no point in driving the Suburban and the teener. Joe's 914RS is also doing well. Cruized along nicely at 75 and not a single problem. It's too bad that lunch ended up being such a small crowd, but there's still an opportunity when the gang head's back East again. Just let me know! Here's a pic of Joe & Liz as they were about to leave Flagstaff. Attached thumbnail(s) |
