Hello, My name is David. I've been a member here for a while but don't post as much as I should. I do love this board and have gotten a ton of info from it. I have bought parts and items from members numerous times and I've never had a problem. But now its seems I've been taken to the cleaners by a seller on this board and wanted to let people know so it doesn't happen to them. The seller goes by SpecialInt and his first name is Courtney. I purchased a prior member's (Welby's, (RIP) transmission from SpecialInt on Feb 8th and he received my $625.00 on Feb 19th. I was very excited to be getting a box that had been redone in one of Dr. Evils transmissions clinics and Courtney had forwarded me the emails from Dr. Evil where they confirmed the box had been rebuilt in the clinic. That was however the end of my excitment. After waiting through the snowstorms of the northeast I finally received my long awaited new transmission on March 4th. I opened the packaging and got a hugh letdown. I received the worst looking 901 box I have ever seen plus the shift console was crushed. It was caked in 40 years of oil and grease. The bolts looked to never have been cracked (actually really couldn't see the bolts through the grime). I immediately contacted Courtney and he said he shipped me the wrong one and his brother had received mine? He said he would fix it. He said his brother would ship me mine. It never happened. Then he said the his brother had shipped it back to him and he would ship it back to me. That didn't happen. He said it shipped but then sent a tracking # with no associated package info. Then he said it was lost by UPS. Now its April. I ask for a refund and it's sure np but he tells me he's out numerous shipping expenses. I say fine just give me $550.00 instead of $625.00. Is it my fault he shipped my box to his brother? He asked if I wanted the crappy core he sent me. I said no and would gladly ship it back if he pays. He says keep it but I don't want another core I already have 3. I wanted the box I bought (Welbys, Dr. Evil Clinic rebuilt box). Now he says he sent my refund on 4/11 but of course I didn't get anything from him and he no longer responds to my PMs. Looks like I'm out my $625.00. I wanted to let everyone know to be very careful dealing with this guy. I should have known better than to deal with someone that only deals in MOs or Personal Checks. Live and learn, but it was an expensive lesson for me. I asked my wife for more money to buy a different box. I got a really nice look from her.

Not wrong...so get off it.
Rebuilt it just that. red beard stated it perfectly Opened and reviewed... You have your opinion on what the term rebuilt means and you are entitled to it. I do not agree with you...stop trying to make it out like you are the holy one here... A rebuilt motor from motor moister gets trashed here and on pelican parts every day. Please explain the difference when a seller represents a "rebuilt" motor from motor meister using used parts, yet being sold as rebuilt. Sad really that you keep coming back to this point, but I will not back down. It's not rebuilt, period. Many agree with me..but feel free to get your team to state differently. Those of us that expect rebuilt understand what the term means. Never started this to get up in your face..... Was still just pointing out that given the statement and the price, the OP should have been concerned that the seller was lying... Rich |

[wishes he had a photo-chop of the Doc wearing a tinfoil hat...] --DD I, too, want this pic (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Rich, your version of rebuilt would cost significantly more. This is true. I can supply anyone that wants to drop that coin with such a service, against my better advice. Dont be such a tool. I have used the term "refreshed" to describe the dr. evil tranny service.
rebuilt to me would mean that all wear item parts were replaced and the life expectancy of the tranny would be as if it were new. |

Has anyone paid a visit to dickwad yet? Oddly we've moved fairly far afield from actually getting something done. I live close to this dude and have volunteered to go get the transmission but to date, no one's asked me to do it. I guess the issue is either resolved or it's a dead duck. Oh, we're still lambasting each other over definitions. Ah, that's why this thread won't die (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) I say we beat that hoss till it' pulp! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dead horse.gif) Dr Evil and another awesome member of the world have worked together to help me out to get a "refreshed" Dr Evil box. If anybody can get Courtney to give up the box I paid for then great, it should go to Dr Evil and he will handle the rest. David |

Donor box is on my door step as of yesterday. I will move it to the garage tonight. I have one ahead of you that is being buttoned up and then the core parts should be here. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Yeah this COURTNEY HEGLER is horrible. He has a long history of this. He lives at 21110 Georgia Avenue, Brookeville, MD 20833.
He has several warrants out for his arrest out of Montgomery and Frederick County, Maryland. His 'wife' Katherine Hegler, is an accountant at Broadsoft Inc., 9737 Washingtonian Blvd #350, Gaithersburg, MD 20878. They 'joke' on social media about heroin use and paying their babysitter in heroine. Hegler seems to make a living off scamming people on the internet. He is likely committing federal mail fraud in doing so. Good luck getting your money back and holding COURTNEY HEGLER accountable... |

After the calls for street justice and then reading the beginning of this post: I went to his house in MD and cut off a few body pieces... ...I figured this thread would turn out a whole lot more interesting than it did. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Yes...totally. So how do you get money from a deadbeat? Well, regarding the above, the body parts have to some street value. Kidneys? But it does sound like he still has some Porsche parts. Go to his house (or get somebody to go for you) and get a bunch of parts to them sell off and convert to equal the $600 that you are out. $600 is a lot of money to just forget about. Just saying... |
