Heads are headed to the Head Master, Len. We'll see what kind of shape they are in soon. This weekend could be rain in my neighborhood, so I might get some time on Saturday to split the case and see what the guts look like.

I expect you'll find that all the bearings are toast.. Also, make sure the crankshaft jus magna flux tested to ensure it is not cracked.
And replace the camshaft, for sure. They can easily twist or will sometimes crack. Replace the rod bolts, too. |

I think you're missing a couple $$... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) One is enough as a reminder... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) Indeed, but $$,$$$ would be funnier and actually fit on your wacky tach. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

If it was zinged at 7K that hard it HAS to come all apart to be inspected and to have the rod bolts replaced (at minimum). What he said, unfortunately. Sorry for your loss. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) |
