Im sad to announce that the famous swedish rally driver Mr Björn Waldegård passed away today in the age of 70.
We all know that he, among a huge lot of other cars, drove one of the factory rally 914/6's in the early '70s. He will be missed by a lot of us. An old link about Björn Björn /Lars S |

I remember having (snail) mail contact with him a couple of years back, chatting about the rumor that he might have been the driver of the 916 #0015, that is known as being totaled in the early years. He told me that he never had the joy to drive a 916 ... R.I.P. |

A few months ago I was driving my '73 2.0 slowly in a narrow street in my home town & a bearded character flagged me down, saying that he had 3 914s, including a couple of /6s, one of which had been driven by Bjorn in various rallies. Turns out it was Jaykay from Jamiroquai...... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)
