I liked #23 better when it bore the scars of racing and victory, rather than all pristine and primped as it now sits in the museum.......

IIRC, the actual chassis that won the 1970 edition of the 24 hours went to a collection in Japan. The "23" car in the museum is a different 917 which has been painted as the Le Mans winner.

and not to mention the #23 917 replica tribute rolling around Southern California car show circuit with a 3.2 911 engine. You can't miss the flat mounted Nutone ceiling fan mounted to the bodywork (IMG:style_emoticons/default/w00t.gif)
