After Amilia it was off to Chattanooga to pick up Kents -6
pictures of the engine showed what we thought was 5400 on the engine but once I got in close read 5409 with my phone ringing... it was Porsche calling to confirm/deny if 5400 was a match so it was perfect timing and got the confirmation it's a match For 5409 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) Loaded it up and hit the road Attached image(s) |

Andy, did you check with the California Coastal Commission, CARB and the EPA about bringing that rusty six into the state?

Your spending the nite in Arkansas? Now listen to me very carefully. Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT accept any offers to go fishing or camping with anyone. No matter who. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif)

Today's goal is to get to Oklahoma. Crossing old Miss and into Arkansas. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) Hey Andy, If you make it to eastern OK, There's a good BBQ place in Sallisaw called Wild Horse, off the 2nd or western-most exit south of I-40 on US59 & off to the left on old 59 with a sign at the turn-off of the 4-laner (locals can guide you). A Hole in the Wall place, but the pix of folks who have eaten there speaks for it. Get the HOT BBQ if you can take it! Best place to stay in Sallisaw is the Days Inn across from a small Cherokee Casino at the same exit on 59 north of I-40 (I usually stay there), or the Cherokee Inn by the bigger Cherokee Casino in Roland at the US 64 exit off I-40 (20 miles east of Sallisaw on I40 closer to the AR border). On the AR side of the line is - the Ft. Smith etc. area & they have more hotel/motel & chain restaurant choices. Further west the smaller towns are similar with small motels until you get near Shawnee & OKC area, but I don't know theirs as well, since I usually bomb straight thru to my destination of Sallisaw. So not only is the journey (west) beginning, but the journey again (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sawzall-smiley.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif) on another resto too! Safe Travels! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) Tom /////// |

No Denver stop Ferg. Staying on the I40. You might want to take the car off of the trailer & just tow it directly when driving through Flagstaff. They don't use road salt there & use volcanic pumice/basalt instead. It blasts the bottom of the car to bare metal- I know from personal experience. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

The camera gear is inside the six, under the top, strapped down in the passenger compartment.
It was there last we checked. |
