Thanks for the responses! Much appreciated, I had a fun time and I hope you did too with all my posts. I have to say it was a lot of work that paid off, and the car is better for it, that was one of my prime drivers to doing it all.

Funny story, maybe not so funny: There was a piece of blue tape under the right rocker that I could not get off while the car was on my lift. I knew it was there, but had some issues with lug nuts last minute, and had to change them all out after I got it off the lift. Well, of course I forgot about the tape and with the car so low to the ground and the wet grass and all I biffed it. Naturally a judge caught it and gave me a -.02.

Here is the kicker, at trophy time it turned out there was a tie for Best of Show between my 914 and a 911, at the division level, and the tie broke in his favor (I cannot explain how they broke the tie cuz I don't understand it). I was that close to Best of Show! Had I only caught the blue tape. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Judges jacket after crawling around looking under the engine, to give you an idea how nasty the grass was. If you dropped your microfiber towel it was done!

I've owned my 914-6 GT Tribute since 2013 and have enjoyed it on the road since 2018. Lots of fun drives and plenty of trips to C&C here locally. Its also been to Werks Reunion a couple times as well as Luft events and several other local outings.

Two questions I seem to get asked quite frequently, which I've never had the real answers to, and guessed. Well, until now, at least for one. How much does it weigh? And, what's the horsepower?

I had the opportunity to get it weighed this past weekend. A friend has a set of AccuSet ll Computer Scales and offered to help me weigh it. The results are in! 2449 lbs. a bit heavier than I'd imagined, but now I know. What really pleased me was how evenly balanced it seemed!

With my more than stock 3.0 '79 SC motor, now I need to find a dyno.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Steve, good to hear from you. I've used JBA for tire mounting work. Are you suggesting them for dyno or weighing? I knew they have a dyno but being a speed shop I was not sure they would be able to dyno a 914. PS you weigh a lot less than me, both you and your car! OK thanks, looks like you had great results! Thanks for chiming in.
I will set it up with them. It will be interesting to finally see my HP now that I have the weight as stated above.
