Hi all , yes I'm still alive ! It's been a strange couple of months, I seem to have spent a fortune on bits and pieces one of which arrives tomorrow, my 2.7 is cleaned and awaiting compression testing but it actually looks good so far.
Easter holidays are now over mind you a week of roller coasters was fun ! When the delivery arrives tomorrow I'll post an update, there may be a comment or to to be made .... |

A couple of evenings has seen some progress ! I ended up removing the rear portion of the floor as it had been badly repaired in the past, so the guide tubes are in and a new lower edge fabricated and a portion of floor trimmed to suit
Floor in and tacked Guide tubes on the proper side (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) |

Yeah Fed ex arrived today and brought these ! Pure porn in my book, the sun is actually shining here today so hard to get a good photo ..... Real swell,a decent looking retake on the 5Fuchs design,to the desired size and finish. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Have you decided on a color for your 914-6/2.7TT?(see items 1,4-post #9) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) / http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?sho...02113&st=12 / |

Seriously lacking enthusiasm at the moment ! fitting the bumpers has caused more issues than i'd bargained on !, i wonder if in the shipping process has the rear bumper been flattened a little .....
And on a seperate Note Northern Ireland is through to the next round of Euro 2016 !!!! #GAWA |

Found some motivation today before I went hedge cutting !
After my trial fit of the front and rear bumpers highlighted the large gaps it became clear that the damage was worse than I thought so out with the grinder and I used the front panel I already had in my store . All looking much better and a quick trial give this , Just a little bit of cleaning up and I'll weld it in, then the rear needs a lot to make it fit ! |

Well the work has progressed ! i spent quite alot of time working on the front of the car as previously told and i was fairly happy with the work so just to make sure everything was good i refitted the hood .............
OMG it wouldn't fit ! the internal rib of the hood was hitting the light box on the previously damaged side ! so after some careful measuring i found the top inner edge of the headlight box was pushed back by 10mm. i borrowed the porta power from work and pushed it back in to the correct position and then had to start again on the fender .... But i have to say much happier and also better that the last time ! |

So i'm thinking about the rear corner now...
Does anyone feel like donating a corner say 6" each side and i'll pay the shipping ? i also need the bumper strengthining bracket to ! mine all seems to be about 10mm out, its been hit and partially repaired but its not in the right place by a long shot ! so still a bit to do ....
