I think Ben puts away his 914 in the winter. WI isn’t just cold, it’s snowy.

More FUN that way! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/devil.gif)

Just kidding, I wouldn't take that out in crappy weather either!

It is part of my learning factor but in fall around November we are done driving for the season. I may have to adjust it a little but in the table I will adjust for that temp. I was tuning for 72 degrees and the start up enrichment which was too rich

Ha!

By November it's just getting NICE here...

I tell people the AC "season" ends on Halloween!

Now, at 32 degrees I'd expect to be running 10-1 at start up, maybe more.

By the time it hit 80 I'd expect 75% of my enrichment would be gone and 13-1 would be normal.

Is the warmup enrichment a slope on an MS2?

If so, it will be automatic, and you won't have to adjust.

Car looks great!

My buddy that helped me with supplying some of the parts and helped me tune it /learn how to tune/ created the base map lives in Texas and expressed the same thing. I plan to change the transmission out this winter as Dr Evil built me one with an LSD . There is nothing wrong with my current one but LSD is badass

Happy with the results for now. Clay has a setup for me that will clear without denting which makes me happy.

I really love the look of the 6 with the stock air cleaner - your ears will love it too. I also see you went with a satin finish- me like! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Car is running well on the EFI platform and starts very easily. Even took my sons dog out for a ride today

Hi Ben,

Where did you end up mounting your ECU for the EFI? I am thinking of a couple places...

Right behind the passenger seat near the floor. Great spot and easy to wire

Thanks I like that idea, looks like you just popped a hole at the bottom of the fire wall with an o-ring to seal it up?

There’s a dimple in the pan. It’s where I ran my 3.2 harness.

Wrapping up driving season soon. Top is on. Enjoying the 993 heat exchangers. Unfortunately at some point the gas tank has to come out as the cables for the heat boxes are messed up. In no hurry on that I know it’s a routing issue and I will eventually get to it. Did I mention how loud the Bosch 044 fuel pump is man it almost obnoxious in volume. Need to put it on the lift and change fuel filter and decide a better rubber isolation for it or an alternative brand/ type with same specs. I learned it draws a ton of power as well. I put on 400 miles this summer so less than I wanted but worked through the tuning of the EFI , changed a band connector out, and enjoyed it. I still may have a month left we will see. Depends on salting of the roads

For a quieter pump, use the Aritex E-8445 or equivalent. It is small and quiet. It works with the 4.0L motor in my car, so it should have enough pressure and volume for yours.

Zims Autotechnic (www.allzim.com) makes a mounting bracket for the fuel pump that bolts on with the rack mount bolts. No cutting required. Call Aaron @partsguy22 , phone number 817-267-4451 and he will hook you up.

Who did the conversion on the 993 heat exchangers? I am looking at the same thing for my car.

Clay
