FYI - Our local chapter's magazine - PCA OC Region "Pando" or "Pandomonium" has a 914 Article starting on pg. 70. You "Ricky Racers" & AXers out there will like this one, as well as us old guys! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
These articles for our local "rag" are member written & photographed - not Pros - so any member can write/photo & submit your own article to Pando, & the other Region's local magazines are similar too. So get your own 914 covered in your local magazine! Go here & click on the March 2016 issue (914 pg. 11), & Andy T's 914-6 was featured in the Jan. 2016 issue pg. 45 at the Original Mike's Dec. 2015 Breakfast as a new member. http://www.pcaocr.com/?page=8 Look back at the link below next month for the April 2016 issue for coverage of the 914 "Porsche Alley" featured display cars from the Fe. 6th Original Mike's Breakfast meeting, when we had 12+ 914s show! FYI - "Panorama" is the PCA monthly magazine of 100-200 pgs & "perfect bound" (i.e.: with the square edged back-edge or binding) - just like "Excellence" & with similar quality articles, & now with Pete Stout as Editor in Chief - over from Excellence a couple of years ago. "Pano" is up there in production quality & journalism with any of the Hemmings & other car magazines, but solely Porsche. IMHO - PCA membership at $46/yr. for 2 - you & a Spouse/SO/Kid/Buddy - which is $2 LESS than Excellence & also less than Hemmings" Sports & Exotics" & "Classic Cars" - plus the monthly smaller local Region's magazine lkie our Pando - is well worth joining PCA for the magazines ALONE! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) Of course, there are member discounts, free & at your cost events, rallies, drives, Concours, AX, TT, DE, DST, etc., etc. going on in your "home region" & others within your Zone & others + the national Parade & their big events. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) To clarify - PCA calls their regional level organizations "Zones" & their local chapters "Regions" - odd, I know. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) If you're interested in joining or looking for your local Zone & Region, go tho these links below: Region Directory: https://www.pca.org/region-directory Join PCA: https://www.pca.org/user/join/membership Don't miss out on the fun & all the great magazines! .... & no, they're not all stuck up pinky-waving tail-dragger types anymore! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Plus they need some crusty outlander 914 types to keep them honest anyway! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) Enjoy! Thank you, great read. Dan Nice blue Shelby 350 Dan! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) If you ever go to Indy for the June Rousch Mustang gathering, look up my nephew John at Skillman Ford who puts on the BBQ car show at their dealership, & handles their Rousch, Shelby & other performance sales there too. Skillman's personal car collection is open for the event as well - 200,000+ sf of classic cars! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif) Cheers!
