Finally beat this critter a little after lunch. Could not figure out why the wiper and fresh air blower would only work when the lights were on. After some more in depth continuity work I went back to the flow chart and started checking off and tracing down wires.
http://volt914.blogspot.com/2007/07/1975-c...ng-diagram.html Then I find an extra wire on the #8 fuse. Hmmmm. A white/yellow belonging to #7 was on #8. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Which energized #8 when the light switch was pulled on. Dandy. But I'm still back to no power to #8 when the key was on. This is where I'd like some educated insight. #8 is energized by both the horn and blower relay. How does that work? Then I find another blown fuse, #11. Replace that and we're cooking with gas. Reading the flow chart, how the hell does fuse #11 energize the blower and horn relays. Head home with a big smile on my face ............. Here's where I start in the am. Wrap everything up and tuck it away.
Everything works as it was delivered from factory. Fresh air fan does need to be refurbished. Only has middle speed. Then reinstall the knee pad and head home to prep for WCR. A shot of a few of my weapons............. Hopefully I can get it tidied up tight and tidy like mine. I unwrapped the wires for the flasher relay on mine. It lays behind the light switches. That's why you don't see it here. I do stand off my fuse panel just a smidgen. I use these thick fiber washers. |
