Check out the closeup pic of the vin tag in the windshield. Notice anything odd?

Wonder where the car was restored, illegal in many states to remove the VIN's for paint and repairs.

It is obvious the car was damaged and repaired since there should be more damage around the VIN plate in the front.

Much strangeness in the front trunk. I see some red where the finish has worn, something has happened to both sides of the frt wheel wells. Dr side is pretty wavy. Why was it painted black and then shot with some coating? New front clip with the old tag? I lost track of the parts that are missing from the car.

That car was once a couple feet shorter .
Check those front inner fenders.
Was beer still consumed on the assembly line in 1973 ?

Look at the top of the passenger front fender in the closeup shot and you can see the damage. The whole upper portion is twisted and i'm sure the black undercoating is hiding more damage.

Also, the turn signal lens is upside-down ...

Dents at the base of both rear shock towers.

And it has the limited production 1.7. And it is rear engined so it's the very rare and desirable "Back Porch".

Run away Run away!!!!

Also, unless I remember wrong, in '73 the door hardware such as the window winder
and the door pull surround piece were still metal, not black plastic. There should not
be things like this on a '35K mile' car. It doesn't make sense.

Now I am curious.
I thought that all the plastic changes happened mid year 1972.
