Everyone got their Hagerty monthly newsletter today:
http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=288455 The articles always talk about how nobody ever gives 914"s any respect. Whatever, looks like everyone is holding on to them. I wonder why? |

Yeah I got that too. Loved the story about the green one for sale at Bonhams- I saw that car in Scottsdale and it was the BIGGEST POS I've ever seen. Was embarassed it was even in the auction- couldn't believe that the auction house accepted it. It was WAY in the back of a line of mainly Porsches. Figured it was worth 1-2K at the most.
I guess there is a sucker born every minute... |

".... parts prices make restoring a ragged four-cylinder 914 cost-prohibitive and instead advises seeking a well-preserved original, which typically sell for $19,000-$25,000." where have we seen any preserved original 914-4 go for that money ??????? it sure keeps the dream alive, tho Porsche and VW made a baby that was successful, yet unloved https://www.hagerty.com/articles-videos/Art.../Porsche-and-VW via @Hagerty AND The Porsche 914, in short supply but not yet treasured : https://www.hagerty.com/articles-videos/Art...e-914-Valuation? |

The parts pricing isn't too bad if you stay away from eBay or at least filter out the people milking the Porsche brand. |

Don't know about valves and really where they will go but have noticed a progressive up in value for good cars...funny how people look around when the buyers market for the 911 is crazy, good 914's are being considered more often now...just saying,

These typically go in private sales so you're not going to see them advertised. There's mention of it here http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=287996 |

I once bought two of them at the same time for $1000. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Don't think I will ever find another deal like that again.
