I'm waiting on some material from 914rubber; going to do my top dash. I have an early car so I have the oddball vent on top of the dash. The car has no ventilation to speak of so this hole is useless.
Last time I tried to cover it but it sort of shows ripples in the vinyl. Has anybody done anything different with this? looking for ideas. Not crazy about putting a useless, expensive item on. |

Cut a piece of aluminum to fit the recess and rivet it down, then level with foam padding. That way any covering won't ripple.
