I have been looking around for replacment seals for my 73 2.0 and they are very expensive. Does any one know where you can get some seals for cheap?

Engine seals? Body seals? What seals are you looking for?

for rear of targa top, I bought a "Sammy" seal, made my Sam in So-Cal, some of the seals supposedly can be substituted with channel seals sold by McMaster-Carr....for most of the seals, get ready for sticker shock as you are already aware.....

If you buy them at retail from the usual sources it will bankrupt you. I have been collecting them as I find them at a cheaper cost. I'll keep doing it until I have all of them. Keep looking in the classifieds and on e-bay. Try and stay away from the "Big" guys who sell there.

new or used? if used it's not a lot of help (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif) I've been buying mine new, a few at a time, helps ease the pain (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif) |

That's the ticket... A few at a time. Find the best deal you can on each seal. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif)

Last summer I bought all the seals for my '73, this is what I found. Some of the lesser known reproductions don't work - fit well. bite the bullet and get them from PP, Mid-America and last place is AA (in most cases the highest price).
