Steve, I may have the rolling tub you are after straight 73 tub, had A/C but I welded up a replacement floor in it last month. I am agonizing over garage space and actually finishing the car - got new toys to play with now..

[QUOTE)Dang Greg! Thats a good deal.... i.e. I'm getting ripped.
Are you going thru a major insurer or some specialist?
American Collectors Insurance, Cherry Hill, NJ 1-800-360-2277 I was referred to them by USAA who has all our other vehicles, but doesn't insure collectable cars. Here is a quote from the binder:
Insured vehicle must be used primarily for club or hobby activities and/or occasional pleasure drives. Annual mileage must not exceed 2.500 miles. Pleasure drives do not include general transportation. The collector car may not be used as a temporary substitute for a disabled family car nor for any timed or racing event. The vehicles must be kept in a completely enclosed locked garage when not in use.
|

Ok, time to resurrect an old thread, but ....
Has anybody been able to get this exception? I just applied for collectible insurance on my '74 2.0 and was wondering if there were any gotchas? |

Its pretty easy. So easy, its almost scary. I've done it on 2 cars. I just get my insurance co. to supply me a binder letter that says my cars is insured under their "Classic Policy". I take the letter to the DMV, they register my car.
Also, I'm not insured by Hagerty or some other classic car co. I am with American Family. I have 2 cars insured under a limited mileage, classic car policy of theirs. |

Funny thing, they all pass the test with flying colors, but I love the cheap insurance. |
