So there I was under the dash removing the rod from the brake MC. I felt the car start to roll and tried to get out (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/huh.gif) The park brake lever grabbed my belt and would not let go (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif) Now Im heading down the drive backwards wedged under the dash and all I can remember iss that Barb left her new Caddy in the drive (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/blink.gif) Then I felt the thump of an impact (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/headbang.gif) I looked out where the pasenger door was and saw a big beutiful white Suburban (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif) I hit it in the right rear door just above the rubstrip. Its not too bad a little more than what a good door ding would be. Next time Ill remember to set the brakes on the dolly (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/chair.gif)

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif) Dude, so sorry to hear of it--at least you are ok! I once had to chase my 73 super bug down a mild hill---that was scary as hell, all I could think about were two things:

1. A crash and my stupidity hurts someone and,

2. I slip while trying to dive into the car and it runs me over.

Life is all about lessons learned----I learnt that one... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif)

To error.... its always painful. I backed into a coworkers car, years ago, because I was too busy putting a CD in and talking to somebody at the same time.

Something like that happened to me with my dad's 911 wjile i was putting on the door panels. Scary stuff, it had slipped out of gear and was rolling towards the fence in front of our house (which has a 10 ft drop to the road after it). Luckily I was able to jump in and grab the e-brake really fast (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/headbang.gif)

Ladies and Gentlemen I think we have a winner; that would be the king of trailering mishaps. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif)

my 4 yr old brother (now 4 ) likes to pretend he's driving, so he's behind the wheel of my jeep (wheel-lock on) and he proceeds to switch gears, just like he's seen big bro do....so he shifts from R to N and the Jeep goes coasting slowly down the drive.....(the e-brake didn't work--needed safety recall done) I run real fast over to the door, get in and put it back in R.....WOAH!

Back in 1974, still in high school, had my drivers license less than a year. Me and a friend took my 58 Corvette over to another friends shop to have him take a look at a parking brake problem. My friends shop caters to drag racing crowd, so wouldn't you know it, my car pops out of gear, rolls backwards down the driveway, narrowly missing the shop owners Corvette race car and other vehicles in the driveway, me and my friend chasing my car down the driveway trying to catch it. Fortunatly, we did catch it before it did any damage. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif) I can just imagine what all these guys must have thought about us, "Damn kids".
