The door pillar is tweaked and rusted. So I'll need to replace that. I had a spare panel for that, but it must have gotten tossed in the move. Anyone have a PS door pillar or a car they're cutting up?

Ahem, that was inside the car when it left CA ...

Maybe if Scott does not want it. It is a complete right side clip from a 71 914-4 stored in the 70 inside rust free.

PM me if still in need.

'Tis indeed. First years of marriage, living in downtown SF, just a few years into Exc, pre-kid, a Saturday away. A good Saturday away. Met a bunch of neat folks and got to be just another car nut. Feels like yesterday. And a lifetime ago.

Was just talking with someone about this board, and that the people here are among my favorites in all of Porschedom. There are other cool forums, but there is something about 914world.com, and its subject matter, that draws very cool people to it. Hard to put a rhyme or reason to it, but that day underlined it.

I have a shell sitting at Camp914 but I can't get it until spring. I'm sure someone will come through before then. But if not I am just cutting it up for parts.

Andy, rolled the white parts car in today. I think we have a winner. It does have two holes from being Zebarted back in the day, but don't think that would be a issue for Mark. PM me and let me know if this will work for you.

I can have it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sawzall-smiley.gif) tomorrow.

Andy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sawzall-smiley.gif) did find a patch on the backside, but it is on the fender side of the jamb. Took a light and couldn't see any patch work on the hinge side. I think this is a keeper. I will contact McMark and mark sure before send it out.

Back from soda blasting. Pure soda is a little too 'gentle' to attack some of the surface rust. I'll be able to quickly hit it with a scotchbrite though. The underside will get blasted on a rotisserie, once the rust repair is complete.

This real /6 project makes what I'm doing to my car look easy.

I'm inspired, and I better get back to work.

That thing looks pretty dang straight! I think I have a 73 fuel tank in my storage shed if you need one. Early style, the cap is missing. I have a 74 tank too with the plastic cap. You won't need it for a while but FYI.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Well said Rob!

Yes, and I may not have been clear but the tank is a donation, just PM me if you want it. I have a lot of other stuff too like window glass, etc that you may not have brought with you. Welcome to any of it. I'm like 3 hours away so we can figure out the logistics once it's time to gather up parts.
