I think I read somewhere that the passenger seats were that during 70', the first model year. They were non adjustable forward/backward, and the back of the pasanger seat was molded into the firewall padding. Drivers seat was not attached & was adjustable. |

Hmmmm, nice catch Aaron.
True the 70's had a non-adjustable passenger seat, but the two I've owned had a ribbed basket weave insert in the backpad. Did the 6ers have a smooth insert? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif) |

I'm guessing the photo was touched up for the ad. Notice the part of the backpad just below where the headrest would be. You can see two vertical creases, one on each side of the rear view mirror. Those creases in the backpad shouldn't be there. So in this picture, the backpad has creases where there shouldn't be and no creases where there should be.

I agree. Porsche is known for their airbrushing. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

Your right Jeff,
On the German ad the car has a front license plate with a black bumper, no side marker lights and the blonde is not wearing a bra. On the USA ad the car doesn't have a front license plate with a chrome bumper and bumperettes, it has side marker lights and the blonde is wearing a bra. |

they said that the ads were airbrushed to americanize the car for the US ads. Im sure some things were missed. Maybe the deutschland version of the teener had smooth centered seats too!

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif) So did all German cars come with US front turn signal lenses? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) |

I think the picture in the ad was taken in the USA and altered for the German ad and for some reason they didn't alter (lazy, forgot, etc. ) the front lenses to the european style.
It looks like you can see the US bumperettes in the shadow in the sand on the German ad. |
