What paint did you use on those trailing arms? Do they still have the rubber bushings or what are you using. They don't look boxed, you just cleaned them up and repainted?

They look great.

Rustoleum black satin. Simple spray paint. Rubber bushings. Not boxed.

We're trying to get this finished for less than $18k.

Budget update.

For those interested in the cost of the TurtleGirl build, I have this update. Today, I made a reasonably comprehensive list of the parts and labor to complete the build. We have successfully purchased many of the parts needed for the six conversion, but the engine has yet to be sourced. These prices assume a 2.4E MFI engine as a minimum and a 3.0CIS engine as a maximum.

Our target is $18k.

$4000 spent so far (includes everything)
$11,800 remains
$2000 contingency

$17,800 total as of today.

I'm waiting for leak-down numbers and we haven't discussed price.

New steering wheel for $40 delivered. They're on eBay every day and appears to be good quality. The hub is Momo ($55), but there may be others that are cheaper.

What color are you going with? What did you use in the interior area? Do you have any pictures of the interior?

Lapis Blue Metallic. The undercoat is Wurth SKS (the black bottles behind the cans of paint).
