By far the easiest way to mount FG bumpers.

I wish I had done it this way on the RS, but it didn't occur to me until later.

More undercoating:

Thanks Dan. You the man. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/cool.gif)

The undercoating was pretty much determined by the sandblasting. This was the best alternative to about a 100 hours of labor to smooth things out enough to paint in the normal fashion.

We decided to leave the entire underside and fender wells in raw undercoat. It'll save paint and time and have the added benefit of being very easy to touch up/maintain.

We're going through the SKS (it's the shiznit) like crazy, though. $25 per bottle x 12 (estimate when finished). That's more than the paint!

Are you going to leave the interior the undercoating finish? or are you planning to paint over it with the finish color? Is the whole interior finished this way?

It sure looks great (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif)

Everything but the actual exterior will be shot in SKS. The front and rear trunks, the fuel compartment, the ends (under bumpers) and the upper portion of the engine bay will have color over the SKS.

There will be a semi-traditional interior over the SKS in the cockpit.

SKS is a super high quality Wurth product that's worth every penny. It hurts to see $25 leave the gun in about 8 minutes, but that's how it goes. Pay for quality, get quality.

Very cool idea for the bumpers.

Where did you get the fastener hardware?
