The engine is here! Liz has pics of the complete engine before we took it down to a long block, but here's what we have now.

It may look dirty in the pictures, but I'm very happy. It passed head stud inspection, has case inserts, Carrera tensioners (I didn't expect that), and is extremely clean under the rocker covers.

And for those who didn't think 225s would fit in the back: 66mm studs, 21mm spacers, 7x16 Snowflakes (-40et) with 225/50-16s. It's spinning to make my point.

The margins are thin, but it's definitely going to fit:

Since it passed the head stud inspection, the plan is to run a leak down test. If everything looks good, make it pretty, set the valves and run it. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/burnout.gif)

For those of you who don't know, 914club members who come here must sign the garage fridge.

Half a gallon of laquer thinner and a tooth brush.

It works well, but takes patience.

Joe , Try mineral spirits. Put it in your spray gun and narrow the spray pattern. It cleans the aluminum nice. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/rocking nana.gif)
