I did grind the cylindrical mounts on the engine stand so the raised ring on the block would fit. They're not M8s, I thinks they're M10s or 12s. |

Did you all set a date for the roll out of the finished car?
I do not recall reading one. I have enjoyed following this interesting project. Chip |

I'll take that one. Getty designs. All the ones I've seen from Getty have been extremely high quality. They're also CF through and through. Not a CF skin on a FG lid. Good stuff.

That's all correct, but he's since apologized. Liz's car will be shot in town where I can keep close tabs on the progress. I made him sign a statement saying that he understood the hard deadline was Jan 15th. We frequently have beers together and I think it will be different this time. We'll see. |

About 3 hours of work with some good chemical stripper from the local store and the decks are naked:

Joe and I went to Mike's (bodyman) garage this evening to see what he's up to.
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) He's making some progress! He's worked out the gap between the front left fender and the cowl, and was pulling out some stretches in the fender towards the now-non-existent side marker light. Here are 2 pics, but we forgot the camera... you'll have to make do with the phone pics, sorry! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif) Attached image(s) |
