I've been following your thread (Great car) and when you were getting the loom
ready you mentioned adding a few wires for your six. I am doing a ground up resto right now on a 74 and I would like to add those wires to the loom now for a future conversion. Could you let me know the guage, number of wires and starting point and destination. Thanks. |

There are really only two wires that need to be added. One for the oil PSI and one for the oil temp.

So I had to remove the alternator to fix a self-induced wiring problem.
Those of you who have done this on a six can understand what I went through today. Attached image(s) |

Here's the optical trigger for the MSD installed under the 6A box (the wiring will be made neater once the coil mount is here):

Aaron: the air box is gone and the grill sets in a vacume. there will be plenty of air going across it.

I think all you would need to do is not install the gromets.

OK. Now I'm curious about the "NO Airlfow" through the cooler question.
I do agree most engines used for daily driving can get away with "radiating" heat with no airflow when a cooler is added to an engine with the stock engine cooler in place. B |
