Matt Hasara restored the majority of the Richins 1973 914 2.0. You are more than welcome to call him. His phone number is 801-735-7817 we have nothing to hide. The car was owned by a family in Dear Valley, Utah and they also own a home in Monterey, California which is where the car lived most of its life. Barry Richins bought this car almost two years ago, he is a Porsche lover and has owned over a 100 Porsches. He showed this car to me and gave me an open check book to restore this car. I believe he had no idea what this car needed and I didn't either until I started to look this car over closely. I have known Barry since 1997 and have sold him around 18 Porsches which he drives and sells usually within a couple of years. He has never restored cars in the past to my knowledge except a 1969 911 T Coupe that has gone under a major restoration which I have over seen and is close to completion. Barry doesn't have the time to deal with restoring cars, his business is building and meeting customers needs regarding Mechanics trucks. I am more than happy to chat with you at any time, please feel free to call. James Jensen 801-815-9440 jrj1255@yahoo.com Attached image(s) |

$30K is relatively cheap for a pristine original or restored 73 2.0. I can’t seem to completely restore one for under $50K.

This looks like a really impressive build! Guessing it might go out of budget near the end though. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1974-porsche-914-12/

Price was above my budget but still for a good price. Curious for how much it sells. Krgds Dax Update : yes pretty sure when I saw the position of the oilcooler. |

Hi Dax,
There was a black 73 2.0 for sale in the Los Angeles Craigslist a week or two ago for 21k. It looked in good shape and very original. I would recommend looking into it. Take care and hope you find your dream car! Clark |

Hi,
Just to let you guys know that my search is over. Found a beautiful 1976 sunflower yellow car in original paint. Got a lot of help fm forum members and I would like to thank you all. Actually the story ended in a way I never expected ... It all started with a few emails with burton73 and it ended by buying two of his nice cars. Between start and end a lot of emails, pics, videos, ppi’s (man he was patient) over a period of 3 months or so... The cars, a 1986 911 convertible with 70k miles and a 1976 914 are currently loaded into a seacontainer for shipping out of LA in the next day or two. Changed my mind and I’ll keep the 911 and the 914 will be sold to a friend. Once the budget is there again I will be back as a 914 is still on my bucketlist. In the meantime I will monitor this amazing platform in silence. Thank you all once again and keep up the good work with this forum !! Oh yes, my advise to (foreign) buyers... be patient, the right cars and sellers are here to find.. my advise to sellers, remain honest and fair... Greetings fm Belgium Dax |
