Thanks Mark, it's good to hear from you.
I got the strakes in place today. Their looking pretty low as they need to be trimmed and the bottom edge rolled.
84,0000 viewers, once again I am amazed.

Still needs some work to finish up with the diffuser like the end caps and tidying up mounting points.

Thanks Paul, I really didn't want to have them exposed like that but I order to get them stable I needed to pickup them past the center of mass so my bracketing is 1 inch past it's center of mass. But it's growing on me.

WOW!!! 85 Thousand viewers. I don't care how you look at it. That's a lot of visitors here.
I finally got all the strakes in place. I would like to get the diffuser completely mounted today.

Attached Image

Most of the diffuser is held together by screws and all of the screws will come out and be replaced with flathead smash rivets. I'm thinking about 200 thank god they go quickly.

I spend a lot of time doing things that never get brought to this thread. Ideas that don't work out, like it's not functional. Or I fucked it up. But I got a hole box of aluminum scrap just from the diffuser. This box represents to me hours of wasted time. But every minute of it is time well spent because all of it is time that I spent enthused about something. Weather it gets used or goes in that box I had a good time occupied with my imagination and because I'm working by hand.

Attached Image

It might be all scrap but all of it was on my learning curve. Hell I even learent to anil...

I think I'll turn all of those lessons into an ingot.

In the final fitting of the diffuser. On and really looks good, of course I'm being prejudice. Being in the trailer makes her look huge.

Attached Image

The diffuser is a full sheet wide and only 23" from top to bottom. Still needs to riveting. About 200. I'm just about ready. Currently it's hard to install, just a little more fitting.

Hi Bill, it's a tired '78 3.0. I put about 100 laps on it in Ca but it still has compression in 5 cylinders. It cost 6K and I have had it for almost 20 years. Excuse me I bought it in about '04.

Any plans to get it refreshed? Just wondering why you have done so much aero. Where do you plan to run it next?

Hey Bill, sorry about taking so long to reply. In my dreams a fresh motor, the cost of the aero is small enough to just nickel and dime me but I can keep doing it as long as my imagination keeps turning out good stuff to do. I've come to a point that I have to make some changes to my life. I need a shop space. So I've rented some space from a friend and the car up off the floor. The diffuser was difficult, a 12 on a 10 scale. After the engine bay the rest of the bottom is pretty straight forward. I have most of the hardware and getting out of the trailer will be good for a change.
I'm a member of the Citrus region PCA, and I found them to be the friendliest of the regions here. Anyway the car keeps me going, always something interesting to do. I can't wait to get to the RSR front suspension. I'll probably not do the motor until I get either a windfall or the motor stops.
Race in '26???

I hadn't checked in awhile but I am blown away, 99.2K viewers. Nice, but I'm about to twist the throttle up a bit. I'm renting a shop space for the race car. Hopefully I can get some of the more difficult things done with more space.
Soon 100,000 VIEWERS. WOW!!!,!!!...

Thanks Brant, you are my long time supporter. Thank you very much. I would like to name my new effort A.S.S., @ #'s shop, At Sharp's Shop. So I can say, What's happening at A.S.S..
So this place I'm renting is in an abandoned diesel shop of which I am getting one of the 3 bays. The shop has some problems that need to be corrected before I can actually get something done. Like fixing the front door, install a new lock, next we are having a power struggle. The panel has a breaker that's bad, the antique breakers cost $250 each and we need 4. Probably going to put in a new box today. The main breaker which we had to clean up to get power to flow. I was thinking that we had just recently installed an indoor panel for less than $500. The place is a mess but I get more work space than I have ever had.
A.S.S. not sure if I like it or not. Kinda puts a smile on my face.
A.S.S.

Wanna see a nice ass?

I was getting ready to unload the car yesterday when I got interrupted by FedEx with the arrival of my new Split unit. Real A C in the house this summer. I'm having a hard time waiting to see the car out of the trailer. Sitting inside the the trailer she appears over sized.

We're putting in a split A C unit today. Hopefully we'll finish it tomorrow.

We have 2 head units to mount and connect. Can't wait to get my living room below 70° in the middle of summer.
