I'm coming out on Friday...have the whole day off.

There are a few Clevelanders that are meeting up at my place, then heading west.

I'm going to start another 'Ohio' thread to get everyone organized.

Thats good ,you can be the organizer for the Eastern part of Ohio . I ,ll take the west, WE need some one in the Columbus area, and Cincinnati area.
They can post here so everyone will know who to contact. When you add the Ohio post add my e-mail to it and any other contact 914ers. The Mid West Classic is only 17 days away. Thanks Dave Kimple dk@toast.net (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/slap.gif)

Cleared the last of the scheduling debris yesterday, registered today. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/boldblue.gif)

The wifey was asking about the lake WI/MI ferry idea that we all kicked around last year. Why didn't that work out again? The idea of 3 hrs jammed up going through Chicago/Gary traffic is really bringing me down.

bummer...looks like I won't make it this year. I took a new job in Milwaukee and am commuting back/forth from south bend on weekends. All tied up for the next few weeks finishing working with the builder on a house...grrrrrrr!

Have fun.

p.s. but the house has a 3.5 car garage with ceiling height for lifts and i could put a car sidewise in front!

Well there goes one of my traveling partners (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wavey.gif)

Only a 3.5 car garage, where is your wife going to park her car. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif) You could leave anyone of the three you have at my place, I will take good care of it. Honest!! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)

If you check into this let me know. I think you need to have a reservation IIRCC. This time of year I was told it fills up fast. I may tow the Alien this year. It's wounded but still running. I haven't registered yet but as usual I'm last minute.

Chris,
Two sets of ferry service now:

Ludington, MI to Manitowoc, Wis
and a new one:
Muskegon, MI to Milwaukee, Wis.

Don't know much about them- google is good.

Pretty sure me and the Mrs. will attend- also late, too.

Any count on the attendees?

Regards,
Rich

I'd love to be there, but I arrive home on the 5th and I'm not sure I'll be up to another Total Est. Time: 17 hours, 32 minutes Total Est. Distance: 1114.60 miles to get there.

Next year (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beerchug.gif)

hmm......

Here's the ferry info:Milwaukee to Muskegon or
Manitowok to Ludington

1 car, 2 adults, round trip=$300 give or take afew pennies on either one. Not exactly cost effective. On the other hand, I really don't want to chance sitting unmoved in a traffic jam for extended periods of time in the V8. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif)

You Chicago/ Indiana doods: how far south do I have to go of Gary to avoid an 80% chance of getting stuck in stop and go traffic for hours on end?

I will be there with my lovely lady, but it does not look good for my teener. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sad.gif)

Took it for a test drive with readjusted valves and a few chnges in the FI system. Sounded and ran great around the block, but after a 70 mile test drive down and back to my sons house, there is a problem with the electrical system, Altenator ? and I must have bad valve guides for it smokes under deceleration. I hope to meet all of you and get some advice on this constent stream of problems.
