Wow he seems to have a few! Is it a BB Jeff? Sure looks to be at the least possibly an LE. If it isn't a rust bucket that's a steal

Need more investigating than just a picture on Craigslist. Why are those Mahle's alloy not yellow? Maybe a tribute car? I had a dream I found a BB in a barn somewhere in America...cool dream.

Sure more probing is required, but nothing looks out of place so far for it to not be a BB For the same reason the original yellow front bumper was painted black. |

I'm in SFO, it was really hard not to grab a rental and head down.ut I sure don't need another project. Even if it's a LE. That would be worse, cause then I'd have to play with it.

Driver front fender looks yellow with black spray over (look at the edge near the door). I've seen those cars once. They are all a pile of Rudy, barely hold togethers by a combination of mud and ducktape. |

But, would a guy who has that many 914s really not know what to look for? It could be a ruse........? I agree, be very careful thinking you are out-thinking a guy with a yard full of 914's. It could be a BB, or it could be a car with some yellow paint and wheels. The difference is in the details. Buying a car based on a few visual cues can lead to a lot of $$$ trouble. Like the time I went to go buy a 67 911S, except the S was the S on the VIN plate that meant it was made in Stuttgart. You can read about it here. Attached thumbnail(s) |
