Was considering buying some patrick motorsports steel flares. Anyone have experience with their product? Are they Auto Atlanta flares? Any help would be appreciated. Thankyou

I was reading on here and it sounds like restoration designs get their flares from Auto Atlanta. I've heard that all aftermarket flares come from Auto Atlanta. Am I wrong on that? Talked to the people at patrick motorsports and they said their flares are not from AA.

I don't know who PMS gets theirs from, but Patrick does very good work, and they are proud of their work! But the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Yeah I've been by their shop in Phoenix. Fellow who showed me around was super cool. Really nice looking projects going on all around.

I think it is Restoration Design they does the stamping and tooling for metal parts.

This is very expensive equipment that PMS or AA do not own.

Actually, i'm pretty sure RD just resells the AA flares. As far as i know AA is the only one making metal reproductions.

I doubt PMS does their own. Maybe it gets shipped directly from AA's supplier so they don't actually see AA's address on the box.

Just talked with George hussey about this.. They actually supply the flares to RD.. I would suspect to pms as well.. Stamping dies are really expensive and to think more then one company makes them for our cars is crazy.. Not enough volume.

You'll probably get the best price from AA

I think the list price is lower from Restoration Designs but the shipping from Canada might be more expensive than Auto Atlanta.

Ask them first. We order a lot of parts from RD and their shipping is always very reasonable. Plus their service is great.

I know it's been tough waiting for your six conversion but I am positive you will smile ear to ear once you have it in your possession. From what I have seen and been told regarding PMS...IT'S WORTH THE WAIT!!!!

BTW...I have purchased 2 full sets of flares from AA, happy no fitment issues.

They stamp the majority of their parts. They don't stamp the battery trays or the flares.. And probably a few other things.. Ask them they are very honest about it.. They will give discounts on anything Canadian made only.. Smart business..

To reiterate they stamp the majority of their parts just a few items they purchase elsewhere..

I do the same with the -6 oil tank fittings and dipsticks.. That doesn't mean I don't make most my products in house..

I can't imagine that at 1000.00 a set more or less...
It wouldn't be profitable to make a set of dies and make them
available by a vendor with the means to do it..
I realize there is a small market for these.. But there has to be
a market willing to buy from anywhere else but...

Just saying...

They do a lot of their own parts but Pete told me a couple years ago that the flares come from AA.
